After 10 years of development, in collaboration with Sweden’s largest universities and other international agencies, Vocify has completed its development of the 4th generation electronic nose.

Since 2022, Vocify’s 4th-gen ‘CA 1’ electronic nose has outperformed all previous models, detecting the undetectable and uncovering groundbreaking applications. Test results

Vocifys results after attempting to differentiate Extra virgin olive oil from normal olive oil. This test was conducted on DeOlios behalf as all previous electronic have not been able to differentiate these two oils. The graph above clearly shows a separation between the two types and shows that the two extra virgin olive oils have an almost identical smell.

Pharmaceutical Detection

Test

Ipren (ibuprofen) in unopened and sealed packages.

Bed Bug Identification

Test

Detection of bed bugs in both lab and near-lab environments.

Result

Proved the nose can identify bed bugs even at low concentrations, such as a single bed bug, with high accuracy (around 80% in early prototypes).

Significance

Offers a faster, non-invasive way to detect infestations early, preventing widespread problems and costly eradication efforts.

Narcotics Detection

Cannabis

Successfully detected cannabis in exhaled breath, sealed bags, and as a raw substance.

Other Substances

Demonstrated an initial proof-of-concept for detecting additional narcotics (e.g., heroin) in controlled tests.

Medical Diagnostics (Livestock Diseases)

Test

Detection of three major diseases (e.g., mastitis, metritis, E. coli) in cows.

Result

Achieved over 95% accuracy in early-stage detection by “smelling” the animals in a farm environment.
